Pit Cleanout

A massive thanks to the club members who came to the Great Pit Clean Out 2021!

It’s a horrible job, but everyone got stuck in and we knocked it off. We were able to see first hand the condition of the netting and surrounds, and realise that it really is a priority for the Club to find the funds to restore it to its best condition.We were able to improvise with some minor repairs, and make sure it’s fit for purpose. We also removed two unfortunate mice. RIP.

The next step is to gather quotes for the funding team, get the appropriate grant applications in place and fingers crossed we can have the pit back to its original condition sooner rather than later.I would like to especially thank the members of our Rhythmic code who pitched in today. Their help was particularly welcome given that they don’t even use the pit. They crossed to the ‘Dark side’ just to help the club out. It’s this sort of Club spirit we are trying to foster and encourage. If you were unable to make it to today, you don’t know what you missed…hopefully we can have funding approved in the near future and the opportunity to pitch in will present itself again.
